Uniunea Națională a a Judecătorilor din România și Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung Romania organizează Conferința „Data Protection in the Age of Global Insecurity: Romanian and European”.
Conferința va fi susținută în limba română, cu traducere simultană în limba engleză.
The necessity of ensuring a minimum European standard for the protection of the fundamental right to a private life that comes as, at national level, states have adopted a series of measures that seriously affect this right, in the context of fighting terrorism. The need for security often comes in collision with individual freedom and a balance between the two is essential to safeguard democracy in the EU.
In this context the need for the debates at all levels is a first condition for finding optimal solutions. The National Union of Romanian Judges (UNJR) and Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung Romania will organize a conference bringing together magistrates, political actors, media and representatives of the civil society.
